Two for Tuesday | Tenacious D

Posted in comedy, two for tuesday on August 31st, 2010 by Kris.G

Felt like spicing it up today with a little comedic music from Jack Black and Kyle Gass. I actually really like their song “Kielbasa” for its musicality. And “Explosivo,” well it’s “Explosivo.” That’s enough reason. And for anyone who didn’t get a chance to see their 2006 movie, The Pick of Destiny, don’t, just don’t.

Friday is for… Comedy | Abbott and Costello

Posted in comedy, friday is for on May 28th, 2010 by Kris.G

Ok, so I know this isn’t actually music but this mp3 was worthwhile to post. It’s, by far, one of the best comedy skits by this duo. I don’t care if you know the punchline. Listen to the entire thing.

Anyway, this is all I’ve got for today. Hope you enjoy!

Friday is for… Comedy | DVDA

Posted in comedy, friday is for on May 14th, 2010 by Kris.G

Remember the movie Orgazmo? No? Ok, that’s fair. I’ve never seen it but it’s the brain child of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the creators of South Park. The “band” DVDA happens to be them as well. They do not have any officially released albums but are the band responsible for all the Team America songs as well as many songs in South Park. Today, though, I’m posting a song they did for their 1997 film Orgazmo. It’s called “Now You’re A Man.” Enjoy.

Friday is for… Comedy | Jimmy Fallon

Posted in comedy, friday is for on May 7th, 2010 by Kris.G

So back in 2002 before Jimmy Fallon left SNL and had a movie career or his own talk show, he released a comedy album that included 5 songs and a bunch of stand up. I’ve only heard one song off the album, Idiot Boyfriend. I completely forgot about this song until I recently was looking through my music collection and as I listened to it, I realized I still knew every word. Well done, Jimmy. Now I’m trying to figure out where I got the song from. I’m assuming it was in 2002 when I got it so I’m guessing Napster. Was it still free P2P in that year?
