Friday is for… New Releases | Chiddy Bang
Chiddy Bang album release date is August 24. This information was released by Xaphoon Jones last night at a show the guys played at Penn State. Other than that, that info is unreleased. The show went terribly for so so so many reasons (scathing review to come from a guest writer). Yesterday, however, Chiddy’s new mixtape dropped. Get it here from Pigeons and Planes. I still like these guys as recorded artists but that show yesterday really makes me think twice about going to see them live again (not completely their fault). Anyway, here’s a new one from the mixtape.

yo dude, i was at that show…i’d say the blame is 50/50…noah showed up like an hour late and proto was even later than that. given that it was held at a frat in a residential area, the cops shut the show down at 9 as per noise restrictions. on the other side though, the show wasn’t as well planned as it could have been (or it was planned as best as a bunch of frat guys could plan it)…the speakers weren’t loud enough, and venue was basically just a backyard. in addition to that it was shitty weather out and no alcohol was allowed at the venue. the whole thing was very messy, ended with the duo doing an a cappella verse of something nobody could really hear. wouldn’t say that they’re not a good live group though, just not the right circumstances for chiddy bang to truly shine.
@charley, O yeah man, I definitely say the problems were 50/50. I don’t blame it all on Chiddy Bang but showing up 3 hours late was rough. However, I do completely agree about all the shortcomings of the frat. As my friend wrote “The luster of the fraternity scene continues to dull.”
Also, I do really appreciate Chiddy Bang as an up and coming hip hop group and I do hope the best for them. It was just a disappointing overall experience especially considering I drove just as far as Chiddy and Noah to see them.
Side note, the a cappella was from Swelly Express. It was the first verse of “All Things Go.”
